In my personal experience, a surprisingly large amount of certificants don't realize that their status as a board-certified analyst (including BCaBAs) grants them free access to several journals, providing you with online access to behavioral analysis' flagship journals!
This may be due to the fact that this amazing feature of maintaining active certification with the BACB is a little hidden in your account settings page, something you might not log into very frequently in the first place. With that said, it may be easy to miss the "resources" tab, where access is available.
The November 2016 Announcement
The BACB announced free access to select journals in this newsletter back in November of 2016. The change, in summary, was to remove access to the ERIC Proquest library in favor of more behavior analytic focused journals.
The list of available journals for certificants now includes:
- Behavior Modification
- Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Journal of Experimental Analysis of Behavior
Some journals, like JABA, were already free to access with the exception of the last 3 years of research - but while you maintain your certification, you can log into any of these journals through your BACB account!
Try it out today, and get caught up on all the latest research!
