Quizzes: Tweaks & Fixes

Posted by Alex on July 8, 2018, 5:29 p.m.

Hello there!

I've been busy working on more practice quizzes as well as adding "concept" reviews to the site. One of the hold-ups is that I am beginning to require myself to cite research or sources before posting further content, as a quality assurance measure. It's been a lot of work, but what follows is a "roadmap" of sorts for the stuff I plan on creating over the coming weeks and months.

I also added a feature that makes the browser "warn" you if you attempt to click away during the quiz or accidentally hit the refresh key, to prevent you from losing your progress. You just have to hit "OK" to leave the quiz once you've started it.

I've also been focusing on creating a few mock quizzes that more closely follow the structure the BACB has created for the RBT Exam:

RBT Exam Question Content-Area Breakdown
Content Area Number of Questions
A. Measurement 10
B. Assessment 8
C. Skill Acquisition 24
D. Behavior Reduction 12
E. Documentation and Reporting 10
F. Professional Conduct & Scope of Practice 11
 TOTAL NUMBER OF QUESTIONS 75

I have created practice quizzes for each content area - however, I'd like to create "A", "B", and "C" versions for each content area so that folks can practice with new questions each time they try to train their skills.

I'd also like to program an "account" of some time, so folks can track their progress graphically. I have some experience working with chart.js, but less experience working in Django / Python (which is what this site is built with). It'll be a learning experience but I expect it will be worth it! I would also like to build a dashboard so we as a community can see what questions are the most difficult / least valid, and use that feedback to improve the modules on this site.

Thank you all for your patience, feedback, and general awesomeness. I'll continue to work on this site in the coming months and I hope you all do excellently preparing for your exams!
